PepsiCo, Cargill, Bayer, and MyFarms are collaborating to support row crop farmers in Blair, Nebraska adopt farming practices known to improve soil health and reduce greenhouse gases, while reducing long-term costs for farmers. This includes cover crops, nutrient management, and diverse rotations.

Objectives

Support farmers to plant at 35,159 acres of cover crops.

Second Party Verified

The project exceeded first year enrollment expectations, both total farm number and total cover crop adoption. We had aimed to recruit 25 growers in year one but enrolled 48 growers. Growers planted cover crops on 14,975 acres.
