The American Farmland Trust Farmer-Led Advances in Soil Health (FLASH) project aims to create farmer-led groups in (5) Illinois watersheds in 2025 and groups in (10) Illinois watersheds by (2028). These groups will aim at promoting soil health, improving water quality, and conserving soil by integrating cover crops into their row crop operations through drilling or aerially-drone application.
Objectives
Reach farmer group participation in (10) watersheds by (2028). Cover crop Adoption will reach (5000) acres by (2028).
