Cotton Incorporated and Texas A&M AgriLife Cotton Sustainability Project

Insight
Complete Project

In recent years there has been a growing interest in the sustainability of farming operations from the general public, industry, and public sectors. Cotton Incorporated and Texas A&M AgriLife are both committed to helping Texas cotton growers to adopt more sustainable production practices. This project will provide a baseline to assess the current sustainability practices being used in cotton production in two major production regions in Texas. The main goal of this project is to gradually increase enrollment of producers into the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol across the state and to educate and foster the continuous adoption of relevant sustainable practices in cotton production in Texas.
