2026 Cross Sector Dialogue Summary Report

Field to Market’s 2026 Cross-Sector Dialogue, held June 3, 2026, at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, came at a time when many participants believe the U.S. sustainable row-crop value chain is facing a more complex and interconnected set of risks than in the past.
What feels different now is the degree to which multiple pressures are interacting at once, including weather volatility, farm financial stress, land tenure and succession challenges, growing data and reporting demands, infrastructure and market constraints, and
evolving expectations around sustainability and resilience.
Rather than seeking consensus definitions of risk or resilience, the dialogue created space for participants to examine where risk shows up across the value chain, what resilience requires in practice, and where stronger coordination could make a meaningful difference.
